Responders took the unidentified male driver of a Mazda pickup truck to the hospital, but he subsequently died from injuries suffered in the crash.
The driver of a Mercedes sedan had to be freed from the wreckage by rescuers removing the roof of her vehicle. A spokesperson from the Sullivan County Sheriff's office reported the woman was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
